Samuel is the National Coordinator at the Volunteers Involving Organizations Network (VIONet), which was founded by VSO and UNV. He is also a national volunteer working in youth engagement with VSO in Sierra Leone and is the founder of the Sierra Leone Association of Volunteers, which is a community-based organisation with the aim of promoting volunteering for development.
Samuel is a trained social development practitioner, with over seven years of experience in the areas of volunteering, emergency aid response, livelihoods development, monitoring and evaluation, and research.
During the Ebola breakout, he worked with the Sierra Leone Association of Volunteers and the National Emergency Response Centre to implement child protection projects and psycho-social rehabilitation for vulnerable children in interim care centres.
Sameul has worked in collaboration and partnerships with government ministries, departments and agencies as well as UN agencies such as UNV and UN Women. He holds a BA in Journalism.
