In his position at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the Mozambique Government, Roy Tembe coordinates all the interventions of the youth at national level, bringing together NGOs, CBO and government institutions for effective and equitable interventions at all levels. He has been exposed to different learning experiences and capacity building such as good governance, management, leadership and communication.
In response to the recent cyclones in Mozambique, Roy mobilised key stakeholders to support the affected communities. Roy also facilitates linkages between the provincial offices to the district and community offices, opening doors to directly work with youth and their communities on the ground. With VSO, under the V4D programme, Roy’s team supported and promoted the national volunteer law development, which will be disseminated at all levels. He has been present at community events such as cleaning public places closely with the youth.
Roy was born in Maputo. He completed his studies in Mathematics and Physics at the Faculty of Sciences, Mozambique.
