Professor Sarah Anyang Agbor has been the African Union Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology since July 2017.
In her role, Sarah co-ordinates human resource development and training, promotes research in science and technology, and provides technical support for policies and programmes in the field. Passionate in her sector, Sarah also encourages youth participation across the continent.
Before joining the African Union, Sarah held multiple high-profile roles and responsibilities in government and higher education institutes in Cameroon. She is a professor of African and Commonwealth literature, has authored two textbooks, and co-authored two books and over 30 chapters and scientific publications.
