Nick is responsible for managing and coordinating ActionAid Denmark’s (AADK) work with the EU Aid Volunteers programme, where he’s worked since 2018. Currently leading two projects, AADK is working with partners in ten different countries to support the engagement of young men and women as volunteers. He also supports AADK’s People4Change volunteering programme, partnering with ActionAid offices to place international volunteers to enhance their work and to support the volunteers’ professional and personal development.
Nick is originally from the UK, and and prior to joining AADK he led the research team of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations and before that the Institute for Volunteering Research. In these roles he worked with a variety of organisations to help them use evidence and data to improve their volunteering programmes and impact, including partnering with organisations such as VSO, DfID, Intercultural Youth Exchange, and UN Volunteers.
