Carrie has been involved in the management of volunteers within international cooperation over the past 15 years, including previous positions with Canada World Youth, UNITERRA and EQWIP HUBs. Her commitment to volunteer cooperation and belief in its value comes from personal volunteer experiences in Poland, Ecuador, Bolivia and Cuba.
Carrie holds a B.A. in International Development, a B.Ed. in Humanities and is completing a M.A. in Disaster and Emergency Management with a research focus on models for fostering climate change and disaster risk reduction adaptations through South – North capacity building and knowledge sharing.
