Aaron Kim (Republic of Korea) has worked at KOICA since 2014. He is currently based in Kigali, Rwanda as a deputy country director of the KOICA Rwanda office. He is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supervising the volunteer program called World Friends Korea (WFK) in Rwanda. Previously, he was a project manager in charge of various development projects in West Africa countries including Cote d’Ivoire, Angola, Sierra Leone, and Liberia at the West Africa region department of the KOICA headquarter.
Since 1990, more than 10,000 volunteers have been dispatched to 30 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Middle East Asia, and CIS through the WFK program. Currently, around 1,400 volunteers with different specialties are working to contribute to socio-economic development of host countries as their true friends.
